From the Sacred Assembly of the Feast of Tabernacles on October 11 (the 15th day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), the members participated in the preaching for a week. On the Last Day of the Feast of Tabernacles on October 18 (the 22nd day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), the members received the Holy Spirit of the latter rain to the full.

The Feast of Tabernacles, the last feast among the seven feasts in three times, is a joyful day to commemorate the completion of the building of the tabernacle. In the time of Moses, for seven days from the 15th day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar, the Israelites who were moved by the grace of God who forgave their sin of worshipping the golden calf which was an idol and gave them the second tablets of the Ten Commandments, willingly brought more than enough materials for the building of the tabernacle, where the Ten Commandments would be placed. In the Old Testament times, the people made booths with branches from various trees, and they lived in the booths for a week while rejoicing together. In the New Testament times, this feast is fulfilled by preaching the gospel to gather God’s people represented as tress and materials for the tabernacle (Exodus 35-36; Lev 23:33-44; Eph 2:20-22).

On October 11 (the 15th day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), the long-awaited Feast of Tabernacles arrived. The members of the Churches of God throughout the world, with their hearts buoyant with expectations, participated in the Sacred Assembly of the Feast of Tabernacles, the last feast among the seven feasts of three times.

Mother earnestly asked Father for the Holy Spirit of the latter rain; She prayed that Her children would fill their hearts, which had become purified on the Day of Atonement, with the abundance of the Holy Spirit at the Feast of Tabernacles, so that they could fervently carry out the movement of the Holy Spirit and quickly fulfill the prophecy about the construction of the heavenly temple that cannot be done by human ability, but only through the power of the Holy Spirit which the world is not worthy of.

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim said, “Just as the tabernacle was built by those whose hearts were moved, so the gospel work is accomplished by those whose hearts are touched by God’s grace of redemption. Before the gospel work is finished, let us push ourselves even harder to preach the gospel—to gather the heavenly family members who are represented as materials for the heavenly temple, with our hearts deeply moved by the Holy Spirit.” In addition, he repeatedly emphasized that the prerequisite to receive the Holy Spirit is to press on to know God, saying, “2,000 years ago, only those who believed in Jesus and recognized Him were able to receive the water of life [the Holy Spirit], and in this age—the age of the Feast of Tabernacles—only those who believe that Jerusalem Mother is the source of the water of life, the Holy Spirit, and come to Her can receive the Holy Spirit of the latter rain.” Then he urged the members to preach Heavenly Mother to many souls, so they would share the grace of the Holy Spirit with them (2Ti 4:1-5; Jn 7:37-39; Rev 22:17; Hos 6:3; Zec 14:8).

After the service, Mother blessed the members, saying, “The Feast of Tabernacles is a joyful feast when we reap a plentiful harvest of fruits and gather them into the heavenly barn, waiting for the glorious heavenly kingdom. Just as harvesters work harder to reap their harvest before the ripe fruits fall to the ground, be all the more diligent to gather bright and precious materials for the spiritual temple at this time when the construction of the heavenly temple is almost finished. Then you will receive much praise and reward from Father.”

From this day, the Preaching Week started and lasted for a week. With the fervor of the Holy Spirit which was hotter than ever before, the members throughout the world carried out their mission as spiritual harvesters by bearing beautiful autumn fruit abundantly with unity in mind. While the festival of life full of joy was being held every day, the members greeted the eighth and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles on October 18 (the 22nd day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), when the promised Holy Spirit of the latter rain was poured out upon them like a waterfall.

During the morning service, General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim testified that the water of life, the Holy Spirit, is the word of God, and said, “God’s words are living and active enough to control and change the order of the whole universe. So, each and every single word of God is to be filled exactly as stated in the Bible.” Then he added, “Every word of Father and Mother, who give us the water of life, is the Holy Spirit, and those who believe the words of Father and Mother and put them into practice can experience the work of the Holy Spirit.” Saying that, he reminded the members that the evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit is to believe and follow the words of Father and Mother. Additionally, he urged them, saying, “Just as the apostles in the early Church experienced the work of the Holy Spirit when they believed what Jesus said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit (Jn 20:22-23),’ so can we experience the work of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain when we inscribe deep in our hearts the Holy Spirit that Mother gives us through Her words and obey everything Mother says. So let us believe in Mother absolutely and receive the Holy Spirit in abundance through the Feast of Tabernacles” (Heb 4:12-13).

At the afternoon service, Heavenly Mother who is the source of the water of life personally delivered a sermon titled “Without Faith It Is Impossible to Please God.” Mother explained the examples of the forefathers of faith who had made great and miraculous achievements in the gospel by believing God’s word and putting it into action. She instructed them, “The way to please God is to believe what God has said and follow it.” Then She planted faith in the hearts of the members, saying, “Believe that you have received the Holy Spirit, and continue to carry out the Holy Spirit Movement to save the souls who have not yet been able to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles and are dying because of disasters. If you do so, you can bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit.” Additionally, She reminded them what prophetic period of time they were living in, through the signs of the present time, and poured out the Holy Spirit of the latter rain abundantly upon them, saying, “Blow the trumpet of the gospel clearly to save the souls who have not yet heard the truth, so you can receive Father with joy even if He comes on a day when you do not expect Him” (Heb 11:6-26; Zec 14:16-19; Ro 10:13-15; 1Co 14:8-9).

At the end of this prophetic age when the Heavenly Jerusalem Temple is being completed, the refreshing rain of the Holy Spirit has watered the whole world. With the burning fervor of the Holy Spirit that is alive and works in their hearts, the members are running toward the world where the fruits have fully ripened.
