The Healing Concert with Mother’s Heart, which had comforted our neighbors’ weary souls through beautiful songs and classical music since last July, closed on Dec. 1, 2013 after its big run of six months.
So far, the Church of God Messiah orchestra ensemble toured thirty-four cities with performance that contains Mother’s love and consolation. On July 17 of last year, the tour concert started in the Nowon Church in Seoul. After that, it continued in the churches located in the capital area such as Gangdong in Seoul, Pyeongtaek, Siheung, and Paldal in Gyeonggi Province. For patients, the concerts were held in the Boramae Hospital and the Samsung Seoul Hospital to comfort and encourage them.
Surprisingly, 13,132 people from all walks of life such as students, teenagers, housewives, teachers, office workers, enterprisers, government officials, cultural artists, entertainers, and politicians watched the tour concert in the capital area.
The Messiah orchestra has constantly held big or small concerts to spread the love of God through songs and musical performances, and also contributed to making families and society happy. In order to make the concerts in the capital area successes, the orchestra put much effort into them.
Three ensemble teams, consisting of thirteen members each, had performances in different concert halls. Although it was small in size, each team gave comfort to people who were exhausted physically and mentally through its heartfelt performances. For diversity, each team was grouped into two parts: chamber music ensemble and brass ensemble. In the case of a big concert hall such as the new Jerusalem Temple, about 60 members of the Messiah orchestra played with one mind and fascinated the audience with great and magnificent orchestra music.
The program was very familiar to the audience by covering the new Songs, popular theme songs of animation movies, film soundtracks, and rhythmical classical music.
what is more, the men’s quartet moved the audience with their deep and sonorous voices, being accompanied by the orchestra; the godly and powerful song of the quartet got rid of tiredness piled up in daily lives. And the ardent performance of the mixed octet aroused hope in the hearts of the people in despair. In particular, the song, “Right now, Right Here,” of which the theme is “let’s save the earth that is suffering from environmental pollution” earnestly appealed to people to take action right now and right here to protect the earth, and left much emotion and a lesson to the audience.
This concert tour was arranged to provide restoration of human relationship broken owing to the absence of family love and of communication among neighbors, and to give the opportunity of rest and healing to the modern people who were exhausted in their busy daily lives. For this, the performers made efforts to deliver the heart of Mother who is the source of the greatest love in the world. The audience gave favorable comments in one voice, saying, “I was deeply moved as if I came home.”
Now, the Messiah orchestra is planning to hold the healing concert with Mother’s heart for more people this year. For this, it has reorganized the chamber orchestra, and reinforced the performance programs.
The Messiah orchestra, which was hurriedly refreshed to heal the world through the best performance with Mother’s heart, is to start healing from Daejeon in February to the whole nation.
