The dedication services for the Seodaemun Church and Gangil Church in Seoul, Korea, were held on December 19, 2015. A large number of members from each church’s regional church association attended the dedication ceremonies that took place along with the Sabbath services, sharing joy and reaffirming their determination for the gospel work in the New Year.

Mother expressed Her thanks to Her children for their efforts until the new temples were established, and prayed every family would be blessed. “Although we’re in difficult economic times and many accidents and disasters occur, let’s have hope for the glorious kingdom of heaven and get strength,” She encouraged, wanting Her children to live a meaningful life by delivering God’s love to the world where love goes cold.

“Nothing in the world comes into existence by itself. Everything exists because it was made by its planner. In the same way, eternal life is given by God the Father and God the Mother, who are the Planners and the Creators,” emphasized General Pas-tor Kim Joo-cheol. He hoped that all the members would realize the will of God, who granted the new churches to lead numerous souls to eternal life, and fulfill the mission of the gospel by proclaiming God the Creators.

In 2015, thirty-eight churches in Korea held their dedication services. While it is hard to find affection between neighbors these days, people who are thirsty for love and the truth are streaming to the Church of God. As a result, a considerable number of the Churches of God are under enlargement construction or soon to be completed.

The Church of God, which has given a helping hand to its neighbors through worldwide disaster relief efforts, cleanup campaigns, blood drives, helping farmers, “Our Mother” Writing & Photo Exhibition and so on, is going to continue its volunteer services in 2016 as well.

The Seodaemun Church in Seoul, Korea

It is located in Chunghyeon-dong in the middle of a building forest. Transportation is convenient as Chungjeongro St. and Seosomunro St. around the area connect with Seoul City Hall, Gwanghwamun Square, and Mapo-gu. Its exterior made of marble and metal is unique and its interior looks bright and cozy like a resting place away from the busy city life. “We’ll fill this church with love so that people who live with big and small wounds can receive comfort and encouragement,” said the members.

The Gangil Church in Seoul, Korea

It is located in the border between Gangdong-gu and Hanam-si. The building has three stories above and two below the ground. Its three-dimensional design, abutting on neighborhood park, blends in with the surrounding scenery.

It seems that more citizens will visit the church as new multiple apartments are under construction in the neighborhood and the population of the area keeps increasing. The members are active in communicating with the local community by throwing consolatory parties and the like.
