Now, our neighbors in need are pinched with cold as winter has come. The members of the Church of God are busy to spread God's love to their neighbors.

On November 15, a fund raising campaign was held to supply heating oil to the halls for the aged, cosponsored by CJB (Cheongjoo Broadcasting) and Chungcheong North Province Welfare Fund-Raising Association, and supported by Okcheon county. This campaign was held to make better society that respects seniors and to make a right culture for donation. Local groupssuch as government and public offices, enterprises and schoolsand many residents, including old men who brought their money they had saved for a rainy day and children who brought his piggy bank, donated and shared compassion with their neighbors.

The Church of God contributed 5 million won (5,000 US dollars) with the members' best wishes. Pastor Lee Won-soon, the President of Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute of the Church of God, said, "We can have a good chance to share love with our neighbors because Okcheon county holds this campaign every year," and wished the aged well, saying, "It is not a big gift, but we hope that it can help seniors have a warm winter."

It is the 7th time to hold the fund raising campaign to send heating oil to the aged in Chungcheong North Province. It was held first in 1999 under the slogan, "Let's Make a Society That Respects the Aged." On the 14th, the day before the fund raising campaign for Okcheon, another campaign was held in front of the rotary of Youngdong county. The Church of God also contributed 5 million won (5,000 US dollars) for the aged living in Youndong where Elohim Training Institute is located in.

The Church of God, which owns Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute in Okcheon and Elohim Training Institute in Youndong, has been actively participating in this fund raising campaign for the residents and will do continuously. The Church of God has respected seniors, holding parties for the aged and supporting the old who live alone. And the Church has been sharing love with neighbors, helping them restore their typhoon-damaged or snow-damaged areas.

God's love is being spread wherever the gospel of the new covenant is preached throughout Korea and the world. They look so beautiful who try to help their neighbors in need like the good Samaritan, following Christ's teachings and path of love.
